I’ve had three transmissions done by Widco. They’re fast, friendly, and honest. Being a driver, I rely on my vehicles and can’t afford any downtime and they can relate. They’re 1 mile from my hub which is convenient because they’re local. They’re straightforward and honest, offer a warranty, and guarantee it. Between the three vehicles, I’ve put over 100,000 miles on their work and have had NO PROBLEMS! Is there anything else to say? Widco Transmission is THE BEST.

I had taken my 1986 Buick Regal Grand National to a local transmission shop in my hometown. They gave me an estimate of $1,800. I remembered that Widco was highly recommended, as I used to be a Cedar Lake police officer. I also had a friend whose brother had his transmission rebuilt at Widco and had nothing but praise. When Widco called me with the bill two days later, I was shocked. First, Widco finished the job in two days - unbelievable. Second, my total bill was $63. Talk about a difference. It is refreshing to run into honest, hard-working people in this day and age. Saying thank you is almost not good enough.

Thank you again for the exceptional service….I own a Dodge pickup truck that was that was having trouble with the transmission getting hung up in a low gear when accelerating at a medium to heavy rate….I took it to a local Dodge dealer to have the problem assessed and the manager informed me that valve body needed to be replaced for $1,033.54. At this point, I was thinking about dumping the truck….I decided to get a second opinion….When I arrived at Widco Transmission I explained the problem to Tom. He took the truck for a test drive and said it seemed like a stuck linkage. Tom proceeded to put my truck on the rack disassemble, cleaned, and reassembled the linkage showing me that there was no problem with the valve body itself, just corrosion with the linkage. Tom fixed the problem in about an hour and charged me near nothing for the work. Since then, the truck has been shifting normally. Thanks to Tom and Widco Transmission, I was able to keep the truck and saved over a thousand dollars on repairs.

I experienced what I thought was a major problem with my transmission. The owner, Tom, road tested my car stating I had no transmission problem. He recommended adding conditioner. No charge! Being an out-of-state resident, I was prime plum for the picking. I am sure a business man of less ethics would have taken advantage of the situation. My hat is off to this business. It is so refreshing in this day and age to know people in the industry that operate their business with such high professional standards….My car is operating beautifully!
